'Incorrect' timestamp during FTP

When trying to FTP my new web site pages up to the host, the first PUT goes ok, then if I do another it'll say the target file has a later timestamp than the one being sent to it.

This happens in Dreamweaver MX and Ipswich's FTP. It almost looks as if once the host receives it, the timestamp gets translated into UTC.

Anyone got any ideas why this happens, or how to avoid it?

btw, I'm going from XP to a Unix host, but they should both be in the US.

PLUS, I used www.digits.com for my counter today and it worked really well. I got the suggestion from this forum, so thank to whoever posted it.

First guess is that your computer time and the server time are different to the extent that it causes a problem.

Ask your ISP what timezone they're using, set your machine to the same - if they're using NTP, you can do the same.

All times are GMT. The time now is 08:44.
