Running 16bit progs in WinXP
Running WinXP SP1.
I wish to run an executable programme but get the message "Can't run 16-bit Windows program". I'm told (rather glibly as if i'm expected to know how) that I need to change the folder names to the old 8 character format. How do I do this? For a start, "Program Files" will not allow me to rename it! |
Yep! Tried that - no luck!

Moving the executable file to the "C" root directory AND renaming the file - using less than 8 characters in the new name - did the trick!
