DVD writers
 

can anyone offer advice - i have a home pc and a laptop. laptop has only dvd cd reader - to buy a writer internal is £140. the pc has cd writer an dvd reader.

If you were going to buy a dvd reader would you buy an internal one for the pc ? an internal for the laptop ? or an external ?

laptop and pc used for photo editing,PC hopefully to do video editing

best say laptop is a pentium 3 700mhz with usb,pc is athlon 2600 both on XP

If you want a DVD Burner I would get on for your desktop. Since you also have a notebook computer, you can always transfer the files you want to burn from your notebook to your desktop via a network and then burn them on your desktop's DVD Burner.

P.S. Make sure you get a DVD+/-RW Drive.
