Transparent Icons?
Hi Folks and please forgive me for such a trivial question but its driving me nuts!!. I use WinXP and I had my desktop set so that the icons on had no backgound colour to their names. Unfortunately the other day my system crashed and on reboot they all now have their names on top of a nice blue background. I believe there is a way to turn off this colour backing but I am blowed if I can find it. Can someone help - please :O
Thanks a ton |
Greek God,
In Display Properties under Desktop. You will find a drop down menu called, Color. Take Care, Richard |
That won't help Richard
He needs to go into My Computer\System Properties\Advanced\Performance\Visual Effects and check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop" http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article02-137 http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/troub-04.html |
Thanx Mac the Knife,
Learn something new every day! ;) Richard |
Thanks a ton works a treat.
all the best GG |
