Web Cam, which one?
Spanners Jr says he would like a web cam to talk to his mates!
I have no idea on such things, are they much of a muchness? Or are there vast differences, guess drivers could be the biggest issues. Running windoz xp home edition, P3-600, lots of ram/hdd space, Creative anihilator 256 using nvidia drivers, Networked to my pc by x-over cable and nic's for internet sharing which is broadband. Any experiences, suggestions or otherwise most welcome. |
Anything Logitech I'd say

spannersatcx,
I have found the Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 USB WebCam to be a very good Webcam. Specs: Interface: USB2.0 Sensor: 1/4" VGA CCD(1.3 mega) Frame Rate: 30fps@(160x120&320x240),15fps@640x480 Max. Resolutions: 640x480(24 bit color) http://images10.newegg.com/productim...108-105-04.JPG http://images10.newegg.com/productim...108-105-03.JPG Take Care, Richard |
Me just bought a Q Cam (USB).
Half the price of others and very capable. 640 x 480 pxels, 30 FPS and looks the biz. Highly recomended. |
Thanks, will have a look for logitech downtown, HKG later on.
PC not usb 2 though! |
Spannersatcx,
Had a couple of web cams. Very little difference in them, apart from price. Broadband makes the difference obviously. I chat with friends in Canada on a £25 camera bought from local QVC shop. Almost tv pic quality. Wouldn't spend too much on one ! T.I.M. |
