A colleague registered about 48 hours ago. His username appears on the forum he is looking at but he cannot post or amend profile etc. Is there a delay in getting full registration?:

Here's the standard reply we send out in such cases.

I'm afraid you are not registered. You aren't registered until you respond to a verification e-mail we send you. I've resent it to the address you used to register and I must point out that there is a time limit for responding.

Privacy and anti spam software causes us problems these days. Sledgehammer settings can send our verification e-mail into the junk bin or never get off the server.

Additionally folks often don't check the e-mail address they registered with, only their prime ones.

Yep, a generic reply just covering basics but with no other details the best I can do.
