I want to watch UK tv over the net.
I'm downroute and connected to the net and was wondering if anyone knows of a programme I could download to watch UK tv over 56k connection for free.
Could be a tall order but you seem to be able to get most everything else now for your laptop/pc I was thinking...why not this? Would enable me to watch pop- idol tonight as well. Cheers all!!!:ok: |
WeLieInTheShadows,
Without a TV card you are going to have to find out if the TV station that has a streaming internet feed. You can view most feeds right on Windows Media Player. Take Care, Richard |

Don't forget to buy a TV licence.
Erm. Perhaps you don't need one. Or perhaps you do. As far as I know this hasn't gone through the courts yet so nobody knows ... along with things like, if you want to receive a private satcast (eg, on a TV set in a car dealership, the broadcast being a pep talk from head office, via a transponder rented for an hour) do you need a licence? |
Gertrude - if you're not using something capable of receiving terrestrial broadcasts, you don't need a licence.
TCS - in the UK the BBC is funded by the TV licence - have a look at www.tv-l.co.uk. |
"Gertrude - if you're not using something capable of receiving terrestrial broadcasts, you don't need a licence".
Not true, you need a licence if you have any equipment used to pick up any TV broadcasts controlled from within the UK, whether by terrestrial, satellite, cable or the internet. See here. |
