MSN/Winows Messenger

This may be an obvious question - considering they have two different names - but is there any difference between MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger?

My compooter seems to have both in it - only one can work at once - but both are driven (I think) by Microsft .net passports.

If there is a difference - I'd like to scrub the entire thing, cancel my existing passport (which is based on an out-of date-email address) and start all over again.

Of all the people that I have logged in the contact list - only one will work (but it is fellow ppruner AerBabe, so that's good news).

Any ideas?? PLEASE!!!!

Have a look at this article from microsoft. I think windows messenger is for "internal" network use and MSN is for internet use

hope this helps
