Second hand laptops

Can somebody recommend a reputable company in the UK (preferably NW England) who sell reconditioned laptops. I'm wanting something I can use on trips just for general correspondence, spreadsheets, emails. Also what kind of minimum spec do you recommend for this kind of work and how much such I expect to pay? Thanks in advance....

I persoanally like http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk - excellent service and good pieces of kit.

Try also :

www.laptop-land.co.uk

www.clonesuk.com

Unfortunately both down south, but at least an indication of pricing.

You might have a look at...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...&category=3713

If the link doesn't show as one line then paste it into the address bar of your browser.

drop the guy a line and see if he has a shop you can visit.

Couple of pointers (based on recent experience)

- Make sure it's not nicked

- Get an invoice/receipt.

Why? If you need to contact the support dept. of the manufacturer, i.e. HP in my case, then proof of purchase is essential.

Moral: don't offer to help someone with their PC when you know that someone is likely to have dabbled in the black market.
