Spell checker

I'm not getting any indication from a spell checker if I get the spelling wrong when posting. Has something happened to the sites spell checker, or is it a problem with my computer?

Seems to work here. Chrome on windows.

With any web weirdness it is a good idea to clear the cache and the relevant (or all) cookies. When you clear cookies you will lose any saved login details for the sites so cleared.

I believe that the spell checking function is provided by your browser, rather than this forum. For reasons that remain a mystery, Pale Moon, the browser I mostly use, reverts to US English spell checking when it updates. I've also had Safari (on a Macbook) do the same once.

The fix is to go to the settings/preferences page for your browser and check that it's set to spell check as you type and that it has the correct dictionary installed. Varies a bit from one browser to another as to how this is set up.

Correct, it's a browser function. The website software provides a lot of things but not that. If you let us know what your favourite browsing application is, we might be able to provide a clue as to where to look.
