W10 upgrade - can't print

Various machines in the home office upgraded W10 over the last week - with no problems up to now UNTIL ...

One last night now refuses to print - instantly switched to 'save print file' on all software and all printer options !

Any ideas ?

I have a similar problem with Win 10.

My printer will not print colour photos or documents from the PC, it churns everything out in B/W.

There is no option to change settings from greyscale to colour in the printer software, however the printer will print a test page in colour from printer.

My work around is to send all colour docs & photos to my phone or email the printer direct, which will then print everything in colour.

The printer is HP OfficeJet 3831 although looking online there are loads of printers having the same problem, though no one seems to have come up with a solution.

No solution for the question on the topic I'm afraid.

However I will add that this "upgrade" brought with it a much slower startup for the computer which submitted to the offer, and the loss of the external USB GPS - all com ports assassinated other than COM 1. Happily disconnecting the GPS, un-installing the drivers, reconnecting the GPS and allowing the drivers to be rediscovered and re-installed brought COM 3 to the surface with an operational GPS attached and a sense of relief to Iself. This computer is primarily used for amateur radio work (mostly WSPR), so I don't know what else might be lurking in there to cause frustration at some future point. It looks like we destined for an ongoing adventure as beta testers each time new 'improvements' are thrust upon us :(.
