Transferring Microsoft Games

My old desktop got a rootkit virus and was slowing almost to a halt. As it cost me virtually nothing to acquire I didn't bother with it and got a cheapo (£40) replacement through Fleabay. I had backup to disc every couple of months so I filled it with my data which I knew I had downloaded whilst the old one was virus free.

The replacement has W7 Pro and little else. The home page was blank apart from the recycle bin. I have loaded all the necessary but there is not a Games programme, the Program file is empty.

I copied all the games from my W7 Home Premium laptop and copied them into the Games file. They are all there but they will not open. I tried via the Application files but with no result, Is there a separate program that enables the games to play and if so, can I download it?
