outlook can't log in
For some reason I can't log in to my outlook mail. Correct email addy and password, this page shows.....
"Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to mail.live.com. Invalid OCSP signing certificate in OCSP response. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_invalid_signing_cert) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem." When clicking the contact "inform the of the problem" nothing happens:ugh: Any ideas? Daz |
Don`t have any ideas, but I`m experiencing the same. Kept trying to reconnect and it finally did.

That's interesting maybe just a temporary glitch. I'll try again later.

There seems to be a conflict with Firefox on my w7 system.

Similar problem with FF53.0.3 and Win10. Kept trying and eventually it connected.

I've been having that problem all day...still no joy!!
I'm running W8.1 and FF. :ugh: |
Just wondering if it's because the latest version of Firefox rejects non https traffic by default? Noticed it with the met office website, the page loads but the pictures don't until you click up by the address bar and allow non https traffic through.

Also fails on Palemoon
On the Palemoon forum the owner/writer says is a MS problem https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?t=15815 |
You can temporarily work around the issue and turn off ocsp stapling: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling. double-click it and change its value to false.
since this will slightly lower your security, it is important however, that after a bit of time when the issue gets resolved by the site (maybe try again in 24 hours), you go back and switch the setting to "true" again! |
No problem with Outlook on Chrome for me. Yet !

cdtaylor nats has it (post #9)
This is the response I received from a helpful MS Outlook consultant,Jenely C. It fixed this issue for me. The issue SEC error upon opening using Firefox browser has now been tagged as an emerging issue. Our developers as well as our higher level of technicians are now aware of this issue and in collaboration in providing the best possible resolution. For the meantime you can try to follow these temporary fix in order to access your account in Firefox browser. Here are the steps: -open Firefox -on the address bar, type 'about:config' (confirm the info message in case it shows up) -search for the preference named 'security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling' -double-click it and change the value from 'true' to 'false' -re-launch firefox |
Have just updated f/f to ver 47.0.2 and got into outlook after two attempts of clicking 'try again' I'm using W7 maybe the glitch will eventually go away.
Thanks for replies |
