Is there an easy way to edit (or at least play) .MOV files ?
Folks at work had a whip round and bought me one of these camera's you can strap to your dog/surboard/kite etc. I'm really pleased with the results, but viewing / editing them in Windows 7 seems problematic, sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't.
Have had a look at free downloads, but my virus scanner seems to warn me against them. At the moment I'm looking at them on the telly, via a cable, and uploading the clips I like on fb/you tube, so that I can see them on my laptop. Cheers, ginge :) Have downloaded Any Video Converter, but didn't seem to work either. |
Further to the last, tried playing my latest master pieces both through the telly, and on the camera viewfinder and all I got was "invalid file." Think it may be something to do with the mounting of the micro sd card ??

Try VLC Media Player, it plays most file types, including .mov I think.
VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework! You might find that it will export to a more windows-friendly format which can then be edited. Quicktime is also available for windows, the player is free and does basic editing - trimming and cutting. http://support.apple.com/en_GB/downloads/#quicktime |
Alternatively, use Format Factory to convert the files to something you find more useful. You can keep the originals if you want to.
