All cookies cleared!

We are all familiar with that line after logging out but....

No they are not!

The prrune.org cookie remains and contains utma through utmz.

I've been here but should this cookie be deleted after each log out?

mike-wsm 16th Feb 2013 11:19

After visiting proon I ***always*** do a manual Clear All Cookies.

Milo Minderbinder 16th Feb 2013 16:50

install Ghostery
it should remove Supercookies for you
Ghostery - Download

Those cookies may just be "time of last visit", for showing new posts in bold. I get everything in, um, non-bold at startup nowadays.

Cookies are the only thing that make me feel wanted these days.:uhoh:

SpringHeeledJack 17th Feb 2013 08:53

Tell that to the obese 'kitchen raiders' who can't keep their fingers out of the cookie jar ;)

...Non-bold doesn't bother me, but I'm taking mike-msm's advice till I know
whether or not I should keep the cookie concerned.

Milo I've already got a program (Better Privacy) that only deletes the more
militant so-called "LSO" cookies - so I dunno if I should download Ghostery
- will there be a clash?

Thanks for your replies so far.

Milo - when attempting to d/l Ghostery for Firefox, Firefox prevented installation of this software. I assume that is just like the Gov't hating to allow you control over your own affairs ?
Cheers

Slasher
I run both Better Privacy and Ghostery together, and no apparent problems. What can sometimes cause an issue is if you also turn on Firefox's native "no track" option - that can allegedly slow the browser, though I've never seen it.

SeldomFixIt
For Firefox it probably easier to download it via the Firefox plugins page from within the browser.

Thanks.
