My company is using MS Outlook Web App for company related mails.

I've noticed that Chrome defaults into opening a "light-edition" of Outlook Web App which is a pain as it does not permit html formatting like selecting fonts, using tables.

Any known fixes?

OWA is written with the functionality of IE in mind. Chrome in particular doesn't play nicely with the code.

Alternatively, if your phone contains Activesync functionality you might be able to use that instead :)

Untick the box "Use the light version of Outlook Web App" ?

We use this, and the full version doesn't work properly if you aren't connected directly to a company server.

A couple of comments on the web suggest the problem you have is due to third party plugins or extensions. Try disabling any. Several comments suggest the Skype plugin for Chrome is a known cause

Sorry, I should have stressed that I'm looking for a fix to enable Chrome to run OWA. Add-ons disabled without effect.
I'll start using IE when Digital Research makes a version.

Thats the point - it should just work You should not need a fix
But your comment "I'll start using IE when Digital Research makes a version" makes me ask - are you using Unix / Linux?
If so, I don't think it going to work. I can't put my hand on a source, but I seem to remember reading the full version of OWA needs Windows to run

"The Outlook Web Access interface available since Exchange 2000 comes in two flavors, one with a complete feature set (known as "Premium") and one with reduced functionality (known as "Light" or sometimes "Lite"). Prior to Exchange 2010 "Premium" access required Internet Explorer. Exchange 2000 and 2003 require Internet Explorer 5 and later[1][2] and Exchange 2007 requires Internet Explorer 6 and later.[3] Exchange 2010 requires Internet Explorer 7 or later, Mozilla Firefox 3.01 and later, Google Chrome or Apple Safari 3.1 and later for full functionality, however performs checks on the operating system type to restrict Mac OS X and GNU/Linux users to Firefox or Safari, thereby making Google Chrome only officially compatible on their Windows operating system even though there is very little difference in their JavaScript and rendering capabilities between platforms.[4] In all versions of Exchange, the "OWA Light" user interface (UI) is rendered for other browsers. So, Exchange 2010 will give the Premium version of OWA on Windows with Chrome, but not on OSX, Lunix or Unix. There you need to use Safari or Mozilla.
Earlier versions of Exchange need IE

PS - this site gives a list of compatible OS versions and client programs for Exchange 2010. Exchange 2010 Supported Clients
If you are using a Unix, the answer would appear to be to use Firefox with OWA, or else use Evolution

Yes, I use Linux and yes, Firefox does it.
Evolution.... don't quite follow you there?

Evolution is a e-mail client for Linux which works with Exchange servers as a replacement for Outlook

Its a full featured local client app, like Ootlook, not a web service.

No, haven't used CP/M since 3.3 - I see your Novell connection but "when DR makes IE" was mostly a joke. I'll checkout that evolution thingy real soon...
