FYI, Plane Finder now on Android

Folks. Just to let Android owners know that Plane Finder is now on the Market.

The free (ad supported) version seems to give only reg and call sign. If anyone buys the full version, would they be kind enough to report back on extra info provided? The Marketplace entry is not clear in this regard.

Cheers all.

Saab. It might be worth creating an "Android Corner"?

The iPhone paid version gives:-
Registration
ADS Hex code
Squawk
Flight number
Route
A/C type
Speed
Course
Height
Picture of aircraft with all relevant info, engines etc.

I imagine the paid Android will contain the same.

Hi everyone,

I am the developer of Plane Finder and have been a long standing lurker in the PPRuNe forums!

The paid Android version is not far behind and will replicate the functionality of the iPhone and iPad apps!

Not sure if you are aware but we also have a live web map too @ planefinder.net - Real Time Air Traffic Flight Radar

Flightradar24 now on iPhone and Android

The popular flight tracker flightradar24.com has been released for iPhone/iPad and for Android.

There are 2 versions for iPhone/iPad: Flightradar24 Free and Flightaradar Pro.

And one version for Android: Flightradar24 Free. A pro version for Android will be released soon.

Search for "Flightradar24" in app store or android market to download the app.

I have the free version of Flightradar24 and paid for PlaneFinder.....The pro version of PlaneFinder is cheaper.....If you want to compete....drop the price....they both do the same thing. Which is best would be open to debate.....Sticking with PlaneFinder for now.
