Affiliate website

How easy is it to setup a website for example like the insurance comparison websites but for another type of product and what sort of kickback do companies normally pay for the business you pass to them

cheers

Depends on the product, one of the companies I was doing it for would pay £25-35 per sale but the sales were really hard to get so I dropped them.

What kind of products are you looking for?
I have one Amazon affiliated site which is easy to build.

jxc,

Are you talking about simple affiliate programmes (i.e. links with reference numbers "hidden" in them) or actual contractual level "partnerships" ?

If just the simple variant, you'll normally find the average payout is very low, and if you look at their T&Cs, you'll find you'll need to accumulate a certain sum before they'll actually pay out.

What sort of products would you be looking at ? Have you done your homework and researched the competiton and how well they are doing ?

Personally, wearing my web surfer hat for a minute, I never use affiliate links or websites. When I discover a link to some other site with a book or something I might be interested in, I always clear down my browser (to make sure no trackers are left) and then go direct to make the purchase.

I was thinking for carparking at airports and taxis and car hire all at airports
my website would scan the companies i am working with and give a price and allowing for the customer to book etc

any other suggestions on how to do it would be welcome

Doesn't sound easy to do but looks but do-able.
What is your experience level on making websites, can you create something like this yourself? You might have to outsource some work.
