JPGs in Forum Posts

Once I've successfully posted something to a Forum containing a JPG, an image which I've hosted on one of my websites, do I need to keep it up on my site, or has the Forum now "grabbed" its own local copy of the image, for all eternity?

You need to keep it on your site. The forum links to it.

No, all the forum has is the link (URL) to the actual location of the item that you have stored elsewhere.

As long as the item remains accessible at its real location, the link will work.
