Microsoft Outlook Connector

Hi,

Does anyone know how to stop repeated requests for my password popping up?

Thanks

Tools>accounts>properties>servers, tick remember password.

That's it on outlook express, can't imagine outlook is much different?

Sprogget,

Yep that is done already - makes no difference!??

Cheers

Check the 'my server requires authentication' box. That can do it in oe6 too.

That is in my opinion a glitch in Outlook and Outlook Express and exists as long as I remember using any of these programs.
When either of them checks for the pop account and the login does not work, mostly a connection problem or server sided issue, also login in too short of an interval, the login may be unseccessful and both programs "think" that either the login or the password is incorrect.
Automatically, the tick box to have the password remembered is un-ticked.

Increase the server timeout setting and see if that helps.

Cheers for the replies - this appears to be an issue with freeparking IMHO. Have tried everything to no avail.

Yes, as nightrider says it usually means there's a problem with the email server.

I get this periodically with telewest > NTL > Virgin media.

Interesting to see that Virgin have signed up with Google to host all its customer email. I hope it proves more reliable!
