Flight Sims and Peripherals.

Hi, think this may be the best place on Prune to ask.........

Friend of the family is looking to buy a flight sim for PC (am assuming Flight Sim X is the dogs whatsits these days?) But also looking for advice on what joysticks/yokes are decent.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

I agree with Biscuit, I have the Saitek X45 Stick/Throttle, so many controls, i would prefer having the Saitek X52.
However, there are some other throttles and pedals you can get which are more real world.
I enjoy my flight simming!

I've had a CH Flightstick and Pro Pedals for years. They are robust and reliable, but the stick has a pronounced dead-zone in the centre which makes it feel artificial.

Prior to the CH, I had a Thrustmaster F-16 stick which was utterly superb, but expensive at the time.

If I was buying new, the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with two throttle modules and the pedals would be right at the top of my shopping list.
