Television
Pushing my luck posting this here, SD ?
I have been given a TV without any documentation and set it up for local stations. The setup routine displays channels which you can cycle through, but I noticed when you get to the highest channel the Cnn Changes to Snn and there's another batch it will go through. Anyone know what the S stands for? |
Perhaps C is for Cable and S is either for Broadcast band or another input where S inidicates a second antenna input.

you should be able to find the manual online, just type the tv type and code into google and look from there. most companies hold manuals for older tv's but may need some digging to find them.

Is the TV a Grundig? - I can send a manual for one (or at least scan the relevant pages if so. Sounds like my old set's method for tuning.
|
No, it's a BEKO (made in Turkey?). I don't think the 'C' channels are cable because they're the ones which return the terrestrial channels.
Wondering if the 'S' channels might be some European system??? |
Dunno if this would help http://www.fixya.com/support/beko/standard_televisions

From the tuning section of a randomly selected Beko manual, where the user has to use the remote control to carry out an action:
'' Select 'S' for cable channels and 'C' for broadcast via the aerial.'' Link to download UK manuals here. |
Thanks for that chaps!
Now, all I have to do is find the strength to move it so I can read the model no. on the back! It's a 26" and VERY heavy. |
