Weak sound.
Recently my sound volume (even set up high) is very weak. I've tried all sorts of settings, using the Control Panel Sound Settings, including reset default settings, but I cannot seem to get the loud blasting volume that I USED to get (which often caused me problems in the middle of the night when I inadvertently clicked on something with sound).
Is there anything anyone can suggest (I'm blessed with Windows XP Home, and it's a Gericom Radeon 9700 1780 XL laptop with inbuilt stereo speakers) |

Link to drivers on the Gericom site, suggest pulling down the latest drivers, and seeing if that helps |
Ahhhhhh........ I may have an idea about this, I had similar, I also had realplayer and windows media player installed amongst other viewers.... go into those and turn the volumes up, on mine even though the windows volume was set at its highest, for some stupid reason in some programs like games, the realplayer volume control which was turned right down was the overiding factor and was preventing my PC volume from working as it should.
does that make sense? |
Anything nasty, irritating and stupid relating to Real player and all its evil spawn does not surprise me.
Real player is high up on my all-time black list. a 10 foot barge pole is far too close for comfort. Mind you, that's just my personal opinion. SD |
