Standby doesn't work.
 

Search threw up nothing on this........

Windows XP.

Click "Start".......click "Turn off computer".....window appears with Turn off and Restart buttons, but the Standby button is greyed out and doesn't function.

Tried..... Control panel......Power options.....set monitor and hard disk to standby after X minutes. X minutes later, they don't standby!


Can anyone suggest a method of achieving standby, please? (I know leaving it on 24/7 is an option, but I need standby......I really do......I goota have it.......) :\ :{ ;)
