File Extensions
Can anybody please tell me what programme(s) I need to open files with the following file exensions:- ' .w02 ' ' .wbb ' & ' .pps '. I have looked on Google but my skills aren't sharp enough to find any info on them.
Thanks in advance, Compass Call |

.wbb is a Wibu binary file - Wibu is a utility for file locking or dongle protecting or some such. I came across it once when trying to flash update a cellphone. What you do with a .wbb I don't know, but if you weren't coming from the "running Wibu" end, I'd be very careful. .pps is a Powerpoint Slideshow, for which you need Microsoft Powerpoint. You probably need the same version that produced the file. |
Re .w02, all it says here http://www.fnds.net/ext/w.html is that it's a temp file.

Re: Powerpoint
You don't actually need Powerpoint to read .pps files.
Microsoft offers a free viewer at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en As Keef suggests, the version is relevant. This one will read Powerpoint 97 thru to 2003 (which should cover most). For the new '2007 format, there is a converter listed at the bottom of the above page. Snooze (can't help with the others  ) |
.wbb can also be a Windows backup - per this site. It doesn't know .w02.

If the .w02 is smaller than 64kb then open it in Notepad and see if there are any clues.

smaller than 64kb then open it in Notepad SD |
Many thanks for your help PPRuNers. Hopefully I can now find out just what is in these files:ok:
