Portable "Outlook Express" for USB Flash Drive

Can anyone recommend a freeware download to enable me to use my "Outlook Express" set-up on a USB flash drive?

I understand such programs allow usage completely independent of the host computer it is plugged into, both in terms of activity history and - presumably - conecting direct to your personal incoming POP3/outgoing SMTP servers (?).

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi. I bought a flash drive a while ago and on the cd is a couple of free programmes, one being the equivalent of OE. PM or email me your addy and a copy of the (freeware) disc will be on its way to you. :)

Portable/Pocket Thunderbird

Thunderbird (from the Firefox stable) is an excellent emial client.

John Haller has developed a customised version for flashdrives.

Just downloaded and setup, on my USB flash drive, some accounts on the portable Thunderbird suggested by Mac the Knife above. Must say it works a treat, something I hadn't thought of before. Thanks Mac :ok:

Another way round it is to use mail2web here. A useful website that does the same job but it is not as user friendly as a flash drive.

BRL.....

Thanks for all your efforts; just downloaed your link, but unfortunately the program is only designed to work on certain types/make of flash drive. ...Mine's not one of them! ...They are listed as you try to install, so may be useful to someone.

Thanks again.

Mac the Knife.....

Just tried that link; thanks. ...A very nice little program and it actually works on my flash drive, unlike a number of alternative options I've tried.
