search paga / hijack this log
Afternoon guys - having trouble on a friends laptop. Got this SEARCH-PAGA in ie and it is very annoying. I done a bit of research into it and it appears that the only way to remove it is via hijack this - so I am hoping someone can guide me as to which process to kill etc. I have done all the usual checks including adaware, spybot, avg etc and this is the last resort. Here is the log:

Have you run spybot in safe mode? I had serious I.E problems, in that it wouldn't open etc etc. This worked for me ( i had a horrible something lurking). And seriously suggest your friend gets Mozilla FireFox!
Much more secure, as easier to browse - can install things such as tabbed browsing in one window. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...in/Desktop.jpg I'm not very good at Hijack this. Infact I don't have a clue....But the guys on CastleCops (PC Forum) are and have a special Hijack This part of the forum IE is very unsecure. Since I have stopped using it I haven't had a single problem. Apologies about the skin on my Mozilla, my brother 'Pimped' my Firefox :hmm: |
Thanks Flik - I have run spybot in safe mode yes, to no result :{
I have contemplated using Mozilla for some time, however, as with anything new (not knowing how to use it) would there be much tweaking necessary? Thanks for this, Maz :ok: |
