B.S.O.D with 'Multiple IRP complete requests..

Wife's PC. Working ok for weeks, no new software/hardware. Quite well when turned off last night, but just turned it on to be met with the XP version of the Blue Screen Of Death and the message Multiple IRP complete requests....

It will go into safe mode, but when closed down and rebooted, BSOD.
Tried starting in 'Last known good config' still crap happens.

Help

AMD 2.5XP, 512 Mb, 80 GB drive, 128Mb Radion , all running under XP Pro.

Do you have Novell Client installed? See the following:

You receive a "Stop 0x00000044 Multiple_IRP_Complete_Requests" error message on Windows XP Professional

terryJones,

You could use the WinXP CD to a Repair. That should fix the problem.

Take Care,

Richard

Hi all.
The wife has beaten us all to it Richard. She has already bunged the cd in and done the job. It would not let her repair however, coming up with the BSOD in the middle of it. As a result she has done a clean install, and I have spent the day putting various drivers back, downloading Netscape, and sending her loads of our friends email addresses...

TR4A.
I don't know about any Novell client?. Would this be an additional application? Anyway, as I mentioned, NOTHING had been added or changed for weeks, this just came out of the blue.

Seasonal greetings to one and all anyway.

terryJones,

As long as she did not format the Hard Drive during the install, she should not have lost any data. ;)

Take Care,

Richard

It probably was a driver issue. One fix was to do a repair or re-install.
