XP SP2 Bluetooth conflict
At home I have a bluetooth print server (plug it in to the printers USB socket instead of the USB cable from the printer)
With XP SP1 it worked fine as you had the option to skip pairing (there is no default pairing code with the print server) The problem with SP2 is that ALL devices must be paired and by not inputting a pairing code, the printer is rejected! The print server is made by NEWlink:- NLBTPRUSB-NEWLINK USB BLUETOOTH PRINT SERVER |

I recently installed an Anycom USB printer module with SP2. Took a bit of a fight and I had to uninstall all the original printer driver stuff, then install the driver from Windows when the Anycom install wizard asked. Then later re-install the Epson disk stuff and use it as the non-default pinter assigned to USB with the default assigned to Bluetooth.
Plug and play it most certainly was not. It took an afternoon's frustration to sort it out! But it's great now that it all works! |
