Local Settings/AdressBook

Running Windows XP Home always updated and Office 2003 including Outlook for email etc. An Advent Laptop bought in January 2004.

For some reason I do not have Local Settings and can do nothing with my Address Book/Contacts. Even if I export it, the file cannot be opened.

I can find no .dab or .pst files on my computer, yet the address book works fine in Outlook. I just want to back it up.

I’ve tried searching the help function but everything seems to lead back to local settings which don’t exist.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Nasib,

Search for..

*.wab

This is the address book. Once found, you will..

1. See the file path that it's on, and..

2. You can right click it to copy, send to, or any of a number of options.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Liam

Thanks E-Liam. I meant to write .wab but in my state of galloping Alzheimers wrote .dab

Anyway neither apparently exists on my computer. Yet as I said the contacts list works fine within Outlook. WIH is going on?
