Windows 10 has become Albanian!

Does anyone know why this happened? Recently our windows 10 laptop suddenly started displaying everything in a foreign language (well foreign to me anyway). A bit of investigation with an internet translator revealed that everything was in Albanian. There were problems with the keyboard too as pressing “y” led to a “z” being displayed.

I was able to go to settings and, again with the help of a translator, switch things to US English which made it clear that the Albanian language pack had been downloaded. I then downloaded The Australian English language pack and was then able to delete the Albanian pack.

So things are back to normal again. But, how on earth did this happen? And how do I stop it happening again.

Based on Goggle discoveries, this doesn't seem to happen very often, but from this page it seems there may be some strange combination of keyboard inputs which can change language (and perhaps other) settings - possibly without any prior warning or required confirmation.

Clever Microsoft again perhaps ....
