Copying from you tube
I have alot of flight safet videos on VHS, which would like to get rid of, but retain copies on CDs or my hard drive.
Rather than coping them all, and as they are mostly all on you tube now, is there a way I can copy from you tube? What are the steps? Are there any copyright issues?

If you are using Firefox browser, try this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/fir...ideo-download/
ClipGrab works for me.
The answer to your last question is probably quite complex. There's almost certainly fine print somewhere but it's eluded me so far, and I probably wouldn't understand it if I did find it ....

I use Youtube Downloader HD - Free Youtube Video Downloader.
I use it to get videos from Youtube to play on VLC on an old iPad 1 my 7 year old uses to keep himself amused during car journeys. Works well, provided I remember to tell YoutubeDownloader to create a 480p or less file.
It can produce FLV, MP4, AVI and AVI-HD files.
I use it to create MP4 files which it can do at 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p.

Good luck.

UmmyVideoDownloader works for me. Free, fast, dead simple, works a treat. You can download the Youtube video in MP4, or just the audio in MP3. Then you have the editable files to play around with if you wish to create longer videos**, or playlists in MP3.
I find Filmura the easiest and best for creating/editing videos, but there may be better. It can add music and voiceover tracks to the original video and audio. It's quite intuitive.
