Modem problem.

Modem problem.
I have a dual band modem and the printer is connected wirelessly to band A. When I connect to the network with my laptop it shows a speed of 48mb on band A but falls quickly to 1mb, but signal strength remains excellent. When I connect to band B it stays at 48mb.I am using Windows XP. Can anybody offer any help as to why this is happening please?

Try changing the channel on band A.

more accurate information required
I presume by "modem" you mean an ADSL wireless modem router running on the "N" protocol with the 300mb/s dual band?
Assuming thats correct
1) which two bands have you set the channels to?
2) is the printer running on G or N protocols? Presumably the printer is only capable of single band?
3) is the computer running on B,G or N? Is the computer capable of dual band?
