Accessing full Android App Market in UAE
Hi all,
I'm aware that I can't access the full Android Market in the UAE. But i"m wondering if I installed a sim card from a supported country, would I then be able to access it here in the UAE and download over wifi? Or will it not allow me as my location is still the UAE?
Does it make a difference if the phone was bought in the UAe or if it was purchased in a supported country?
Any advice from someone who has tried it would be really appreciated!!
Thanks.

INLAK,
AppMarket is not available in UAE due to Google not having agreements in place with the relevant regulatory bodies.
Using a foreign SIM card is unlikely to work because you will be roaming via the national networks and hence subject to the same filtering restrictions.
Wifi certainly won't work as that will definitely be on a domestic UAE ISP and hence filtered off by Google.
There may or may not be workarounds of a more questionable legality available, but PPruNe is not the place to cover these.... a Google search will no doubt yield results (if any)..... it's then up to you if you want to take the risk.
