With the descent rate attained, I was expecting something like a power stall, where my wings would stall due to disruption of laminar flow(forced), but the plane responded like a regular level out. I knew the structure could take it, but aerodynamically it should have been a different story, anybody disagree?
Well, I really did not have to mess with the upper panel much, and still maintained control, so I don't know if I did things right. I have my settings to full realism, so I guess I must have missed some other thing.
I'll have to say, I would NEVER want to be in a real airplane duplicating what I just simulated, I'm sure I'd be in diarrhea all the way down!

If you want a simulator, use Fly!....if you just want to fly pretty planes from the outside view use FS2000.......

The thing I have found to be v. frustrating about Fly! is the controls. It's incredibly difficult to configure the controls the way you want them- the process iteself is simple, but the way the thing is presented is bad, very bad.
I also think the flight planner feature is a bit badly designed. too much emphasis on graphics rather than ease of use.
Converting from FS98 to fly! is difficult, but I should reckon that the results are worth it if you have a decent control input system.

Absolutely agree Wx Man, Fly is a more difficult sim that FS2k. I have found with FS2k that it is possible, with the right panel, and confuguring both the sim and the panel, depending on what you use it will work well. Very well.
There is in fact a 767 by Eric Ernst that has the full lot including the o/head panel and a good flight panel. Everything works. Start-up is exact, as is everything else. For FS2k there is a small add-on required to fix the font details, otherwise it is a perfect example. All 3 a/lands work too.
One of the problems with FS2k has been Microsoft's inexact patches. But with a bit of effort you can make even that work correctly. You can get the B767 panel from www.avsim.com OR www.flightsim.com OR from my site www.uksim.co.uk

Use "autotune radios " (Ctrl `) [that's the key left of 1 on the top row !] to bring up a menu - pick 5 : Flight Service Station. This brings up another menu of airfield codes - usually the top one will do, so press 1.
Now press ` to bring up the ATC R/T menu. Pick 1 : Open IFR Flight Plan.
When you go to Clearance Delivery, you will now get a random squawk for an IFR flight.
(totally unrealistic for the UK, but it works!)
