Question Phone No's reverse lookup

Just wondering if anyone had come accross a web site that allows you to type in a phone No. and it finds the name and address for you. I know they exist in the states but I am looking for a UK site. Nothing sinister, just fed up with some cold call faxes and want to find the senders address!
Regards

roach - can't help with your main enquiry but there is a thing called the Fax Preference Service where you can register that you do not want junk faxes. It becomes an offence if somebody then sends you one. I think it is an offence to send junk faxes to a private individual anyway, but the FPS works. Can't remember contact details but it is part of the Mail Preference Service (no junk snailmail) and Telephone Preference Service (no junk 'phone calls from double glazers etc). All three work well.

Cool

Started getting loads from water filter companies. Faxed them back saying that they would be reported for the consideration of the question of prosecuting them for sending marketing faxes to other than a public company.

CC to Fax Pref Svc, Trading Standards etc.

But do send a letter to FPS: it works!

Not sure if you can input a phone number and get an address but I do know that you can put in a name and address at the bt website and it will come up with a number if not ex directory. Also http://www.192.com does similar thing, you'll have to have a look as I've only used them occasionally. Hope that helps,
