METAR in Brazil
Hey there:
Could any Brazilian pilot give me the meaning for the following acronyms? (They appear at the end of METARS in Brazil).:ugh: PGG, PDM, PDD, PGH, PGW. Thank you |
They are the code for the name of the forecaster responsable for the TAF (it only appear on TAF by the way, not in METARS)
Cheers, Charlie Alfa |
Thank you CA, and you're right, the codes appear in RMK at the end of TAFs.
I just checked the latest for SBGR, it's there, PHH :-) Do you mean that they indicate the name of the forecasting agency? |
No, that is the name of the person who made the info. Just to make intl crews crazy before they make a flight out of the country wondering what those letters are. Just for fun.

That sound like BS to me
