Your governing body?

I am trying to find out what licences are accepted in South America or what governing body you fly under.

Do you fly under JAA or FAA or your own entity? If your own entity, what licences does a pilot to require to fly into any of the South American countries from O/S?

Thank you in advance for your serious replies.

Each country has its own authority, and therefore you will need a ticket from the corresponding country to fly commercially.

Bear in mind that law in most Latin America countries is very protective. In several countries the first requirement to get a licence is to be a national of that particular country.

If you have a JAA or CAA - and you don't find a problem with your nationality - you will need to sit a couple of exams (i.e. air law and the like)

Best luck to you
