Lima accident
BBC are reporting a crash today or yesterday with several fatalities in Peru---several British tourists and Pilots.Has anyone any more news?

Apparently a Cessna 406.
I don't wish to be picky with the OP but the crash site near Nazca is about 300 miles from Lima. If an aircraft crashed in Liverpool we would not say it crashed in London. |

Seems a 206 would not comply with local rules.

Looks like a Cessna 185, OB-1808, to me.

More information :-
The Kathryn Report: Cessna 185, Air Nasca, OB-1808: The Nasca Lines, Peru: Stricken airplane pilots had extensive experience Six people in a 4 seater - DUH. |
The last time I looked, the 185 was a six seater.

If it was the 260hp version, it would be of marginal performance for 6 adults; OK with 300hp version.
