N Registered Aircraft in Brasil
 

Anybody know an operator that flys US registered aircraft in Brasil? To my understanding, if the aircraft is registered in the US, it requires US certification. Ie. ATP etc etc. and does that mean pilots under a work visa can fly down there on N registered A/C?

If they do, it's just for a short period of time, until they get the P registration. And to fly that (N) you have to have a FAA license.

According to the regs, you can only fly here for 6 months acting as instructor.

They are trying to change the regs, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.... := Politics

It's a temporary situation, usually for executive aircraft, so your chances of actually arranging a job are extremely low. Most companies that would be operating N regs temporarily will also have their pilots doing conversions in the US, so they will already have FAA certificates.

Remember that the job would end the moment the aircraft was put on the Brazilian register.
