Google it and you end up with [email protected].

That might be a start

I managed to get an E-mail for the chief captain, but it looks like this company isn't interested in hiring pilots at all...

Anyhow here it is : [email protected]

The guy never sent me a reply, not even a courtesy one.
When it starts like this you kind of know this might not be the best place to go work for....

I guess the only way is to travel to St Vincent and give it a try....however it's really expensive to do so and to stay there too.

So i'll pass...

FYI, Generally Caribbeans operators aren't interested in hiring pilots who are not from the same exact island, in Trinidad for instance you can have 2000 hours, ATP, TR and all, they would rather hire a brand new CPL from their own who will crash the brand new 737 soon after, same thing in St Marteen, on the french islands it's all good as long as you have JAR, they don't accept FAA or ICEO.......so stuff this, I'm heading to Asia.
In short getting a flying job in the Caribbeans is mission impossible.

Ta ta !

sebi69 so what is the problem? Can a West Indian just walk into your country with "2000 hrs" and get a job with your nationals seeking jobs? There are alot of young WI pilots without jobs - and no "green cards" - who either get a job on the WI or give up their dream of flying.
What makes you think a " brand new CPL from their own who will crash the brand new 737 soon after"? Oh, you think the training is inadequate?
Like any other country we in the WI look after our own first - and that's the way of the world, like it or not!
So, getting a flying job in the WI if you are not a national while there are unemployed nationals is "mission impossible".

Actually SVG Air is well run airline, at least it was when I was flying down there in 2003 with Carib Star. I lived on St. Vincent and drank many beers with their pilots who liked the job a lot. I had the owner in my jumpseat once and seemed to be a great guy. The pilots were given accommodations, a car, on top of a decent salary.

The chief pilot is probably too busy flying, since it's their busy season and probably gets a lot of emails from prospective pilots. They have in the past hired a lot of Canadians, Aussie and Kiwis, however that's not the case anymore.

If you are not typed on one of their aircraft types forget it, the DCA will never give you a licence validation.

SVG Air hiring

All the b/s politrics aside, you need to have a type rating to be considered, there are several young SVG hopefuls waiting for the chance to get in - small market so it takes time.Even Caricom members have to take a back step.

CP is busy flying around and cannot be expected to reply to all emails from the (huindreds) of similar that arrive on his desk.

Suggestion go to US or Europe spend your money in approved programs that will at least give you real time in the right seat of some a/c where you are cannon fodder for the next 10 years - then one day they may give you that leg up. It is a very harsh industry overpopulated with enthusasim
