Can someone be base in Brazil with Emirates?
I heard it is possible to be base in Brazil with Qatar Airways but I don’t know if it is true, can someone confirm that?
Thank you,
Junker

I heared the same, you're ganna be based were you end up, Doha, Abu Dabi, or Dubai, which ever airline will take you, and "commuting" is not allowed either. You gonna gbe able to go home for your 43 days of vacations per year though... I only get 3 weeks...

They do know how to sell their product to the pilot community......but in the end it all boils down to each individual and how it works out for them. It might be good for some but not for others.

About 30 people on sunday. Nice presentation. They covered alot about the company and Dubai. Lots of questions asked afterwards to the Brazilian F/O who was there with an Australian captain. It seems like many did not meet their minimums. They are in need of pilots big time but many who apply and go to the interview are not well prepared and fail. They said many things you hear in this website are distorted and exagerated. Not that they are false, but just exagerated.
The captain said he doesn't think they'll meet their requirements for next year if they don't lower their minimums. Right now on the Boeing fleet only, upgrade is 3.5 years if you have all of their requirements to upgrade. This was confirmed by the F/O who's been there for 3.5 years and he's about to start his upgrade process.
Like I said before, it might be good for some but bad for others.
