Cool Air Jamaica - What's the word ?

Heard Air J stopped their London service and are using the A-340's to do JFK, Toronto, and LA ? This true ? Also heard the A-340 boys are not happy with no long haul pay maximising flights and that the widebodies might be soon leaving. And could ATR's soon be in the cards for another Air J express start up ? Any Yardies out there to comment ?

And I bet Virgin is using those slots for more lucrative destinations than flying to Jamaica. Heard the Jamaican Gov't sold the slots for far less than what they were worth as well. Sad !

Air J sold again

Well, maybe if they are sold - or divested, as the Gov't would like to happen - who ever buys it to operate will do a better job than the Jamaican Gov't. It could be such a class act operation, what with all the Caribbean as well as U.S. routes they have. It seems to me that they just need a good commander at the helm, and not just unscrupulous politicians or others that want to milk Air J with all the other contracts that go with running a national carrier.
