Chinese pilot work in canada

Hello,I'm trying to get a canada ATPL recently, and I'm presently a airline captain. what do I need to fly in canada?

In general, you will need 2 things: the Canadian licence (to fly in Canada), and the right to work.

The license portion is straightforward, but time consuming. Here's a starting point: Transport Canada license conversion

The right to work is a bit more complicated, as you would need to apply for a visa. You can start by looking at the IRCC website. The visa process depends on the specific visa you apply for.

I am not aware of any employers in Canada that currently provide sponsorships, which means you need to have your license conversion completed before you can be considered for a job. Once you've got your license though, there are lots of places that are presently hiring which would definitely consider command experience on airline-sized planes a bonus.

Good luck!

I am a Chinese pilot also, I can tell you it's really difficult to become a pilot in Canada. The biggest challenge is not ATPL or language, it's PR. If you don't have Canadian PR, it's nearly impossible to get a job offer from legacy airlines. The only choice for you is small companies, for example, 703, and 704 companies. You only can fly King Air series or flight school airplanes. Therefore, my suggestion is to find a method to fix your PR problems. Once you have PR, you are qualified to find an airline pilot job.
