Dangerous Goods Training

Hello all,

A potential employer is asking me to attend a Dangerous Goods course but I cannot find any specific to pilots in Canada. Would you know of any place offering this course? Preferably in the Montreal Area?

I know that in Canada, the airline gives this training to their pilots, but the airline I have applied to is based in Africa.

They just want to see that I have attented a course.

Thanks!

AVIATAS - Training for the Aviation Industry | Pilots | Cabin Crew | Dispatchers | Ground Engineers | Airline Staff ! Airport Staff

Dangerous Goods - CAE e-Learning

There are a whole bunch of on-line courses that provide the basics. The above two are from a 2 second search using google. There is a good one that IATA puts on too, and that may be your best bet considering that its based for international operations - its a little on the dear side I must say though.

Youre correct that commercial operators here in Canada are required to provide the training, and unfortunately it is not transferrable between operators so each new company you go to, you have to do the training again - or at least, thats the intent of the reg. ;)

If its a Canadian company doing operations in Africa, then they should still be bound by the CARS and CASS - if its an African airline then they are bound by whatever tribe is in power at the time :}

Good luck!

Hi +TSRA!

thanks for the information. I should have mentionned that I am looking for a in-class learning program as I would need a certificate from an institution or school to present it to the local CAA.....I have found a very cheap online course which is www.solocks.com

Thanks though!
