Green Card
Hi Folks
There is a rumor about green cards for holders of Canadian ATR's. Anybody know anything about this, or is it an old rumor coming around again? For you young ones, AA and UA hired many RCAF pilots in the late 1960's....So it is possible. |
The way I heard the rumour was that "pilot" was to be added to the list of occupations approved for cross-border employment under NAFTA. So not a green card but a TN-1 visa. But I didn't hear the rumour from a reliable source.

I like your rumor version better then the one I heard. It would seem like a sensible solution for the current political airline merger problem. Unfortunially, our political leaders don't have that much common sense.... [This message has been edited by Tan (edited 26 September 1999).] |
The rumour I heard from a reliable source at ALPA said that the Senate was going to reconsider their earlier decision not to allow Pilot on the list.
Wait and see, I guess. ------------------ Life's Short...Fly Fast! |
I recently spoke to a US operator that would apply for a H1-A or H1-J (??) visa for a foreign pilot. Sorry I can remember who. the fellow I spoke to said it took upto 6 months to be processed. This visa only allows you to work with the operator that applied for your work visa and has a time limit. You can try some operators listed at www.findapilot.com
