I have been hearing that M.L might have set up a trust for the pilots’ money. If so, does this mean that the pilots should be able to recoup their money?

Not to throw any salt into the wounds (I do sympatize with all those who have lost their jobs...), but I really hope this wakes up the pilot community, and we all realize that paying for a job is NOT the way to go....ML is laughing all the way to the bank with YOUR money! (some unfortunate souls lost the entire $30,000!)...total :mad: !!!

I've heard the same thing about a trust set up somewhere to keep the money safe from bankruptcy.

A "hurban legend" set up by those pilots to feel less guilty ?

I doubt very much that this would have been done for benevolent reasons. Perhaps if there was some tax-benefit to segregating the funds ... otherwise, I suspect that the money went into general revenue, and is now long gone.
