2 aircraft clip wings at YYZ

If in doubt STOP and reassure yourself before continuing - no matter what ATC say or the follow-me says, it's YOUR responsibility.

Looks like the LOT was on 180 and the ROU inbound to 181:

Correct. ROU was coming in to 181; LOT was boarding at 180:

I love the (now deleted, but cached on Google) post on Facebook from Teamsters Canada (currently in dispute with Swissport):
An untrained manager was pushing back a LOT Airlines plane who hit an Air Canada Rouge plane. The wingwalker, who was an untrained temp worker, did not know that he should have been watching the wing. |
Some gates have an "A" centreline offset to the right to accommodate larger types. Maybe someone wasn't on the correct line.

OK, but if you have a wingwalker that doesn't know "he should have been watching the wing," that could be a problem.

Interesting quote from the spokesman: "There should have been wingwalkers on both of the aircraft". Really, on arriving flights ?? However he goes on to say that: "The LOT aircraft may have been parked on the wrong line". Direct link to the interview: Two planes touch wings at Pearson | CP24.com |
