global damaged in cyhu
 

CBC is reporting a global Express badly damaged landing in CYHU, seems the runway had obstruction markers in the center on the runway, rather a novel way of marking things methinks.

Runway 24R/06L is under major reconstruction...

It seems it was not only shorten for the construction period with displaced thresholds but also only half of its normal width is available (75 feet instead of the regular 150 feet) on the remaining portion that is open... It seems the pilots did not know all the details if any on the construction on runway 24R/06L... It looks like both tires on the left main landing gear blew after hitting the runway edge lighting... The runway while under construction is basically a 5000 foot runway in length by 75 feet in width... See the NOTAMS...
