Carl Millard's grandson found guilty of first degree murder
|
Thank goodness for that! Carl would be turning in his grave. At least now the murdering will stop! I hope the justice system works just as well for the other two murders he's charged with too!

The jury only deliberated a total of three days before reaching a verdict. That's very unusual in a case of this complexity involving two accused with very serious charges. I think they didn't worry about who pulled the trigger. Even if the shooting was an accident the fact that they brought a gun to the test drive was enough to convince them of the accused's bad intentions.

A good summary of the case; link stolen from another forum:

Millard to appeal conviction. Standard in murder convictions.

I remember meeting Carl and he did a sales pitch on paying him tens of thousands of dollars for a DC6 type rating with some scarce employment time.
At that time the birds were flying around the hangar and splattering white stains on the aircraft. I doubt that any of the aircraft had been out of the hangar for weeks at that time. Never did meet his son. The Murder conviction appeal has almost no chance of success. |
